New Socks on My Feets

I *HEART* THESE SOCKS! They might be my most favorite pair so far, maybe because it's been eleventy bajillion degrees below zero these last few days. I finished them on Monday night, wore them today and my feet are nice and toasty warm. They're made with Lana Grossa Meilenweit Fun, colorway 138 on U.S. 1.5 (2.5 mm) needles. The pattern is
Hello Yarn's Cable Twist Socks.

The modifications I made were to to use a k6, p3 instead of k5, p2 pattern since I'm using sock yarn and smaller needles than called for.

On the Fun Fur Chemo Cap front, I'm working on my 11th hat and I still have a boatload of fur to knit up!

Fun Fur and Red Scarves

Three more hats finished and another on the needles. The sand colord hat is for a friend of a friend and will be staying in Minneapolis.

I also mailed off my 5 scarves for the Red Scarf 2007 project yesterday.

Fabulous Fuzzy Fun Furilicious

You know you have some in your stash... It's in that dark place that no one knows about... Admit it, you have some...

Now go dig it out and start knitting some 'No Hair Day' Chemo Caps and then send them to Kate to be distributed to the kids at Childrens' Hospital Boston. These caps are so much fun and so easy to knit up, I finished another one today.

So, c'mon and dig out that Fun Fur you've been hiding. You know you want to!

First Dulaan Cap of the Year

It may be a bit too big for Harley, but I think it will fit a small child just fine!

Log Cabin Update

Progress, albiet slow, is happening on the Log Cabin blanket. The rows are now 160 stitches and take about 15 minutes.

Harley needs to think about that.

The second sock now has the ribbing and one pattern repeat done. It's going faster than the blanket.

One Sock Done...

...And one on the needles. Although officially my first sock finished in 2007, I only had a few rows left on the toe, grafting and weaving in the ends when the clock struck midnight.

I'm ready for my close up.
